‘Ballymacarrett’ will be officially published on Friday 7th October 2016 at Hillmount Garden Centre, Gilnahirk 10.30am – all welcome. It follows on from the publication of 11 local histories covering areas of East Belfast, 1 on South Belfast and 1 on Greater Belfast. On this occasion the subject is Ballymacarrett, the earliest suburb to the east of the River Lagan, to be included in the town of Belfast in 1853.
